Dorothy in Oz: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure

A.K. Wregg’s Dorothy in Oz: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure will enjoy its world premiere as part of the 2025 Sydney Fringe Festival, headlining the brand-new Cabaret Hub at Marrickville Town Hall. From the brilliant mind of A.K. Wregg - creator of the international smash hit The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure, The Wizard's Den, and The Art of Murder, comes an adventure where you're not just a spectator, but a key player in an entirely new Oz story!

Arrive in Kansas Bar to meet a sepia-toned Dorothy, then be whisked away by a fateful twister to arrive in the lands of Oz for Princess Ozma’s birthday party – where you are one of just thirty honoured guests. There, you’ll solve puzzles and interact with colourful characters such as the Tinman, Glinda, and the wicked Mombi, all while creating a bespoke cocktail (or kids’ potion!) inspired by Oz.

While not a musical, Dorothy in Oz will light up the town hall as it comes to life for the first time in the festival’s history, with over fifty cabaret, comedy and immersive experiences.

This unforgettable experience combines the whimsy and wonder of L. Frank Baum's beloved classic book series with the thrill of interactive storytelling, live performance, cocktails, and delightfully surprising stage magic, with sessions for both kids and adults. Matinee performances will cater towards families and younger audiences.

There’s a palpable playfulness to these performances, disciplined, drilled and delightful. There’s fire, bite and fun and lots of kissing.

Capturing the essence of its predecessor, Heathers The Musical is an absurdly comic production that doesn’t just walk the line of polite society but plans to blow it all up with reckless abandon.
