War of the Worlds

Lit Live presents the original radio script LIVE on stage.

Be taken back to 1938, with Orson Welles infamous radio drama War of the Worlds on CBS Radio.

Based on HG Wells’ 1898 novel, the radio play’s unique format of covering the invasion of Martians entirely through live news reports, interviews, and on-the-scene coverage caused widespread panic across the country.

Lit Live presents the original radio play with some Perth’s best actors as the reporters and announcers of this terrifying invasion, complete with a Foley desk to create the sound effects live! Featuring Will O'Mahony (August: County Osage/Never Have I Ever), Ben Sutton (Three Summers), Greg McNeill (The Twelve S2), and Sarah McNeill (Proclivitas).

From the company that brought The Vagina Monologues back to Perth, don’t miss this opportunity to experience a 1930s radio studio and the thrill and horror of hearing live reports on the war of the worlds!
