SWELL 4.0 ~ MUSIC AS MEDICINE
Let’s begin with some little-known facts and an intriguing question.
FACT: The most significant philanthropic gift to the arts in Australia was from a man who made his fortune selling drugs - an eccentric pharmacist Alfred Felton.
FACT: Alfred Felton lived and died at the Espy, a former seaside resort turned live music institution that was up until recently sat boarded up.
QUESTION: What could a live music experience be like throughout all five levels of this restored Melbourne icon... with that history as backdrop?
SWELL 4.0 invites you to step inside a surreal world of reimagined live music. A journey through multiple music-meets-art encounters inside never before seen parts of this iconic live music institution, including spaces still not open to the public…
An immersive adventure exploring possibilities for Music As Medicine.
