Revenge

Featuring in Melbourne Cabaret Fringe Festival 2018, sweet and spicy New South Wales cabaret performer, Irene Nicola takes on the patriarchy, politicians, late-stage capitalism and inequality in this in-your-face performance that has the entire audience cheering. Join her and her long-suffering writer/comedian husband Sam Wade, as they battle their opponents and each other in an original cabaret of saucy burlesque, salty diatribes, Enid Blyton styled storytelling - for adults only! - and scathing, original songs. This is a show about venting rage, laughing through the tears and dismantling the patriarchy, the most cathartic and entertaining way Irene and Sam know how - so, grab your spoons and dig in to an ice-cold dish of REVENGE!

“Irene and her husband give you a night of music, outrageous costumes (or lack thereof) and caustic comedic cabaret.”
- Glam Adelaide

“Irene’s style of striptease burlesque and in your face femininity is what made the audience fall in love with her, but her creative and very clever original songs are what we love about Revenge.”
- The Upside News

“Sam Wade is a consummate comedian who reduced this audience to tears of laughter.”
- Glam Adelaide
