'A night of magic' could stir up a dozen images, depending on who's looking at it. Now You See Me has presented us with a sweet treat for the eyes, live and present. Inspired by the popular movie series of the same name, with a Las Vegas show feel and a tonne of tech and tricks in store, this surely is not your Uncle Dave's magic show!

'The Four Horsemen' (Adam Trent, USA; Pablo Canovas, Spain; Andrew Basso, Italy and Gabriella Lester, Canada) hailing from all over the globe have come together with a ticket to take you back to the wonder of illusion and magic: all they ask is for you to bring that childlike sense of wonder, remembering how fun magic tricks can be.

With nary a wand or top hat to be seen, the Horsemen are sleek, savvy and each bring to life a type of optical illusion, mentalist tweak or straight up death defiance in an entertaining and audibly gasp-able performance that had members of the crowd screaming "No way!"

A full crowd at the Concert Hall witnessed a mixture of card tricks, crowd participation and cringe-worthy acts of death-defiance – best not to ask how it's done, as we all know it ruins the fun! A great show for budding magicians and those who love the whimsy of a good old fashioned sleight of hand. Enjoyable for the kids and kids at heart, it was especially sweet to see the littlest fans walking around after the show with new magic tricks of their own to show off. Light hearted fun is what we all need and Now You See Me delivers on all levels.

Simon Painter, Creative Producer, says, “Now You See Me Live pushes the boundaries of stage magic to the absolute edge, making the impossible possible in front of your very eyes. Together we’ve created a show with truly mind-blowing artistry at epic scale and we can’t wait for audiences to experience the magic – live!” Well, this reviewer was chuffed to be part of the whole on opening night, and left the venue with a few tricks up several sleeves!

If you love magic, if you love the idea of a Las Vegas show, without having to travel overseas, then magic is close at hand.
