If you’re looking for a night of sleazy crotch grabbing and inappropriate grinding, then Magic Mike Live is not the show for you. Gone are the painfully bad innuendos and unappealing cheap costumes. Replaced with a slick and sexy show and a troupe of ridiculously talented dancers, Magic Mike Live presented by Channing Tatum is the culmination of more than a decade’s ideas and dare I say it, fantasies.

The much-loved film, Magic Mike premiered in 2012 and was loosely based on Tatum’s own experiences as a stripper in his youth. What has transpired since Tatum’s life experiences is a stage show unlike anything seen before. Part strip show, part circus, part cabaret and all raunchy fun, Magic Mike Live is everything it proclaims to be. A fun night that celebrates women.

It’s a concept that has been long overdue, even with the camp and fantastical opening, Magic Mike Live asks you to suspend belief for a moment and enter a magical world where the men are perfect human specimens, who not only look good, they are good. It’s a totally unrealistic world where respect and consent are the sexiest words in the vocabulary and the hot bodies match the good souls within.

The show itself is light, fluffy and full of “tasteful” nudity. It’s impossible not to get caught up in the magic of Magic Mike Live and the team behind the scenes have created a brilliant experience. Co-created and choreographed by Alison Faulk, the female friendly show is very different from the crude outdated strip shows full of intoxicated hens parties and gratuitous grinding.

Housed in the purpose-built Arcadia on Birrarung Marr, the team have created a strip show wonderland within the unique Spiegeltent walls. The only Spiegeltent to have an expanded balcony, three-story bar and elaborate technical grid system to allow never before seen levels of technical production in a Spiegeltent. You most definitely enter a new world in the Arcadia, full of hedonistic delights.

With bar service straight to your table you can enjoy your evening without missing any of the action, and there’s plenty of it! The one act non-stop show is an exhilarating display of athleticism, talent, humour and sex.

Magic Mike Live hails a new era of male strip shows, celebrating the talent on stage and the women who watch, Magic Mike Live is charming, funny and quite a bit naughty, go on and enjoy the good looks and great moves of the Magic Mike Live cast this winter, they’ll warm you up in no time!
