“FCAC is now well positioned as one of Australia’s leading producers of contemporary community-based art and has developed significant partnerships with major organisations both within and outside of the arts which will ensure the ongoing development of unique arts programs and community participation.

“FCAC will commence a substantial redevelopment in 2009 and its realisation in 2010 will deliver a first class arts facility for all of our communities.”

The FCAC Board has appointed Sarah Masters as Acting CEO for an interim period. Sarah is currently Operations Manager of FCAC and is pleased to take responsibility as Acting CEO. She has a broad range of experience in the administration and operation of a number of small arts organisations.

Sarah Masters said: “I am excited and honoured to have been offered the opportunity by the Board of FCAC to act as CEO and guide the organisation until the appointment of a new CEO.”

Mario De Pasquale, Chair of the FCAC Board said: “Jerril has made an immense contribution to FCAC and her support for the Board has been consistently strong. Her stewardship has brought the organisation a long way, and we are now in a good position to face and tackle the considerable challenges that still lie ahead.
