It turns out to be more than just an hilarious clash of cultures when, in 1996, American  filmmakers invade County Kerry, Ireland, looking not only for the perfect location, but also for “extras” for their Hollywood movie, “The Quiet Valley”.

Through the eyes of two of these extras (Jake Quinn and Charlie Conlon) who play all 15 characters between them, we see the reality of Ireland in the late nineties.

This reality is nothing like what the Americans expected – green, sweet and friendly.

Neither is the reality of Hollywood super stars anything like the Irish extras expected – there is nothing gracious or superstar about them. To Jake they are hypocrites who treated his cousin “like he was a piece of muck on their boots”

How do Jake and Charlie bring an end to this invasion and solve the culture clash?

Why they write their own film of course.  It is entitled Stones in His Pockets.

“The (play) belies the line in it that you ‘don’t go to the movies to be depressed, that is what you go to the theatre for’. Not in this offers’s theatrical, engaging and fun” ****  4 STARS
