Sounds of Stonnington - A Symphony Experience in the Park

This March and April, enjoy a symphony experience in the park with Sounds of Stonnington - a free outdoor musical event.

The City of Stonnington has commissioned five new arrangements of contemporary musical pieces, recorded by Stonnington Symphony in Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran.

The recorded works are being broadcast in parks and gardens over four weekends, creating a unique and immersive musical experience.

Pack a picnic and listen to your favourite tunes reimagined by the orchestra, as you relax in Stonnington’s beautiful green spaces.

Speakers are installed in sections of the parks and gardens, filling the outdoor space with the beautiful sounds of Stonnington Symphony.

Relax and listen to the recordings, or simply wander through the gardens and take in this unique immersive musical experience.

Sounds of Stonnington will run from Thursday to Sunday, and the suite of musical pieces will be played several times each day: at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.
