TV Dinner with former MIFF & AFI Director James Hewison
 

Join guest speaker James Hewison for a night of cinema and film industry discussion alongside screenings of local and international short films.

James Hewison's career in film spans twenty years boasting a range of activities and responsibilities.

Until recently he was head of Theatrical Distribution at Madman, overseeing local features such as Animal Kingdom and Snowtown. His other successes include Oscar-winner The Counterfeiters, The September Issue, and the suprise Christmas hit, Sarah's Key.

He was briefly CEO of the Australian Film Industry after having spent six years as Executive Director of the Melbourne International Film Festival. He has worked variously at Palace and the ABC prior to MIFF.

This opportunity offers a rare insight for emerging film makers and cinephiles alike to take part in a moderated open forum with a stalwart of the Australian film industry.
