Long
before “Grey Nomad” became a tick box on the Census form, David
Williamson’s Travelling North was flirting with ideas of retirees
travelling in search of warmer climates and a change in lifestyle.
From the seemingly simple, if not a little sinister, idea of a half-bat, half-boy, Farley and Flemming created a story set in the small town of Hope Falls.
This is a thoughtful play for a
thoughtful audience, so if you’re in the mood for a bit of light
entertainment you may leave the performance slightly drained.
