Potted Potter | Dan and Jeff

Potted Potter | Dan and Jeff It’s all aboard the Hogwarts Express for mad muggles mayhem in the “Potted Potter” parody of the Harry Potter phenomenon.

This unauthorized Potter experience promises all seven Potter books in seventy minutes, an intriguing and seemingly impossible task. David Admad and John Helier teach us to expect the unexpected when it comes the wonderful world of J K Rowling.

The daft duo delivers a delicious, irreverent and fast-paced satire. Cut and thrust wit delights both young and old Potter fans. Double entendres, cute and clever props, and deft audience participation are all in true Hogwarts spirit. The game of Quidditch also comes under these lampooners scrutiny with hilarious results.

This a mocking and yet oddly reverential show as the performers obviously know and love Rowling’s imaginative world. Ahmad and Helier’s own imaginations are sparked and the result is riotous, mesmerizing and magical. The British-based performers have a show that works a charm.

In the same way that the books have intrigued and entertained millions of muggles, this show is set to do the same with sell-out performers in Edinburgh and now a world tour.

If the names Weasley, Granger, Snape, Hagrid, Sirius and Dumbledore mean anything then this is no time to sneak under the cloak of invisibility. Instead tell everyone but you know who and take a running leap for station 9 ¾ and travel to The Pod at Adelaide’s aptly named Garden of Unearthly Delights or later to the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
