Ben Noir - A French Cabaret

BenandAccordion10.jpgBen Noir caught an early break as a Featured Acrobat in Baz Luhmann’s Moulin Rouge. In his off-screen life, he subsequently moved to Europe, often staying in Paris and worked his way from street performance, via a plethora of obstacles, to some of the most (in)famous cabaret and burlesque stages in the world. Ben Noir: A French Cabaret is a divine Melbourne premiere.
Though a chaotic chance meeting with a local French busking musician, Ben learned some  tough lessons about protocol in the French busking scene.  Through a bizarre set of events, he found himself performing in the legendary underground club Caveaux. Between his stunning flute-like vocals, and his ability to sing a classic such as Non Je Ne Regrette Rien while maintaining a perfect handstand and a two-person-two-accordion waltz, this is a cabaret like no other.
Ben has performed at the Paris Burlesque festival and most recently in 2016 at the Montreal Burlesque Festival prior to releasing his debut recordings. He has been selected to go on to the next stage of “France Has Talent” for inclusion in the series later in the year.
This show starts on Wednesday 10th May runs nightly for the season until Sun 14th May. Bookings highly recommended.
