|GOOD SHEPHERDS: Applying Improvisation to Christian Ministry|
Do you work in professional ministry? Do you find yourself constantly responding to new information? Changing plans on the run? Having to make bold decisions quickly? Being aware of large numbers of people and their stories?
In Good Shepherds you’ll learn improvisation techniques and reflect on their application to your ministry. You’ll participate in mix of games and scenes and have time for discussion and contemplation. You won’t be trying to impress people and there’s no judging panel.
You’ll have space to consider being positive in tough circumstances, and being comfortable with your own imperfections. You’ll learn that, in improv as in life, we are at our best when we ‘play for others’ not just for ourselves.
This is not an acting course (though you might be surprised at the roles you play). It is not about making people laugh (though there will be lots of fun). Good Shepherds will help you to exercise some different muscles, become more flexible and build up your resilience.
Led by Chris Bedding, the course starts one week after Easter Monday. Why not make Good Shepherds part of your professional development in 2016?
7.30 - 9.30pm
Tuesday 5th, 12, 19th & 26th April, 2016
West Australian Ballet Centre
134 Whatley Crescent, Maylands
