Helen and Frazer have it all worked out. He’s an up and coming advertising executive with his first big account; she’s an architect in private practice, finally doing the kind of work she’s always wanted to. They’re young, in control and have the world at their feet. Enter: Phoebe.

When the perfect couple’s tightly controlled world meets the chaos of man’s best friend, all of their priorities go out the window. The initial novelty of dog-sitting is quickly forgotten when Phoebe runs away, gradually replaced by a sense that things were never quite as good as they seemed. As Frazer rages under pressure, Helen encounters an increasingly bizarre range of people who seem to want to tell her everything but where Phoebe is.

Sweet Phoebe is a darkly comedic insight into a deeply dysfunctional marriage. In the space of just over two weeks, Helen and Frazer’s hunt for Phoebe lays bare their relationship as it lurches out of control.
