Juditha Triumphans is simply magnificant, and the music speaks for itself without all the undergraduate nonsense about \'relevance\'. We go to Baroque operas/dramatic oratorios for an escape into the brilliance of the Baroque.
The orchestra and singers were all wonderful.
When will directors and designers get the message - NO MORE RELEVANCE!!! (the machine guns were so crass. I often had to just close my eyes to absorb the music without the unnecessary distractions which just serve to irritate.) - marguerite wright
