| Job Description |
THE BUMP IN PROJECT, ROUND B
Round B of the project is a grant aimed at assisting emerging Australian performers, writers or directors. On offer is a grant which will go towards the payment of registration in the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival. It is specifically aimed at providing this opportunity to recent school or university graduates, or those new to the Victorian theatre industry.
The grant is offered to any group/individual from around Australia. Groups and individuals may apply, and is limited to artists who have not produced or been involved in more than three professional (ie. profit-share, cooperative, or paid roles) performances.
The successful applicant/s will be expected produce a season of performances, either with a new production, or to rework and restage a previously performed show. The successful applicant/s will be expected undertake all activities and tasks involved in producing a professional performance, and ultimately perform during the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
What do recipients receive?
Successful applicants will receive a fully paid registration for the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival. Registration is worth between $400 and $500. Some additional marketing will be provided via press releases to the media, advertisement on our web site, and through our mailing lists. Additional guidance and advice is also available.
The successful applicant/s will receive an intangible experience of participating in a professional theatrical performance. Participant/s will receive a letter of reference, and a certificate upon completion.
Applicants are not expected or required to pay back the registration; this grant is for encouragement, not for profit.
