AUDITION – Peninsula Theatre Company
A Midsummer Night's Dream – William Shakespeare.
Are you a fairy princess? A Kingly character, or simply a comedic ass? Come be a part of one of Shakespeare’s most endearing and magical plays to be performed in November at the home of Peninsula Drama, Peninsula Theatre Company.
Auditions for all roles will be held at the North Narrabeen Community Centre on July 14th and 17th at 7.45pm.
Performance dates are October 31 to November 16, 2008
PTC is a community based theatre company – actors and crew are not paid.
Cast –
Theseus, Duke of Athens
Egeus, father to Hermia
Lysander, Demetrius, in love with Hermia
Philostrate, master of the revels to Theseus
Quince, a carpenter
Snug, a joiner
Bottom, a weaver
Flute, a bellows-mender
Snout, a tinker
Starveling, a tailor
Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, bethrothed to Theseus
Hermia, daughter to Egeus, in love with Lysander
Helena, in love with Demetrius
Oberon, king of the fairies
Titania, queen of the fairies
Puck, or Robin Goodfellow
PeaseBlossom, Cobweb, Moth, Mustardseed, fairies
Some cast may need to double characters.
