GEN-YSociological
branding of generations is nothing new, but has the media
sensationalised reports of this group’s behaviour? Or are they, in
fact, a product of modern media? A highly dramatic, inventive, risqué
burlesque cabaret exposing the lies, the truths, ideas and ideals of
the real and invented members of GEN-Y..... Alongside
directors Sacha Kilgour and Chris Parson, you will be instrumental in
creating the material that features in the production. Delve into the
issues and pressures of being a young person in 2008 as you investigate
the popular perceptions that exist and then mould your discussions and
findings into music theatre moments that truly capture the GEN-Y experience.
Directed by:Chris Parson Chris has just returned from Melbourne performing in GUYS AND DOLLS, toured 2007 as a guest performer with Barry Humphries and Friends, Back with Evengance, as well as roles in Hugh Jackman - the Boy from Oz, Saturday Night Fever and in the original cast of MAMMA MIA. In addition he and Sacha wrote and directed the musical The Paper War for atyp in 2007. Sacha Kilgour Sacha Kilgour ventured to Australia, from New Zealand in 2000; she is currently singing with vocal trio Bells and the Super Fly Soul Review. Sacha has extensive experience in musical directing for high school shows and college productions.

audition will include both group and individual components. Please
prepare a contemporary monologue (under 2 mins) and contemporary song
(either acapella or with backing track. Please prepare at least 16
