Broad 2007 Print
Broad 2007Deborah Conway’s legendary Broad concert series is back for a third year in 2007, with four brilliant female musicians and four different styles, joining Deborah in theatres around Australia to explore their own and each other’s music.

The consummate Deborah Conway, Nashville-based country/rock guitar player Anne McCue, New Buffalo mastermind Sally Seltmann, R&B soul diva Jade MacRae and this year’s winner of the WA’s Best Female Artist (WAMI) and Fuzz front woman, Abbe May, will combine their extraordinary individual talents in Darwin, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth this August.

After delighting audiences with the debut tour of Broad in 2005, Deborah Conway has continued to provide Australian music lovers with a feast of talent on stage together in 2006 and 2007. Ruby Hunter, Katie Noonan, Clare Bowditch and Ella Hooper are some of the diverse singer-songwriters who have shared their music in Broad.

This year promises to be a compelling mix of the already known and the should-be known and to again showcase the amazing depth and warmth of contemporary songwriters in Australia. This is Broad.

“Broad 2005 and 2006 were both brilliant outings, we received standing ovations in every city and sell out shows. On stage the feeling was inspiring, listening and participating in what could be described as the greatest chick band touring. I had a ball and I’m champing at the bit for another one this year, the possibilities are delicious” – Deborah Conway
