The Pirates of Penzance is a tale of romance, crime and duty, with a birthday twist. When a boatload of pirates tie up in a sleepy English seaside town the police are alarmed but the ladies are intrigued. And when one of the pirates, a naive young apprentice named Frederic, meets a daughter of one of the local pillars of society, things get interesting.
The Pirates of Penzance is one of the most popular operettas ever written. It features some of Gilbert's wittiest lyrics and Sullivan's catchiest tunes, including 'I am the Pirate King…' 'Taran-tara' and 'A policeman's lot is not a happy one'.
Starring David Campbell, David Hobson, Dennis Olsen, Taryn Fiebig, Suzanne Johnston, Andrew Brunsdon, Johanna Allen, Jane Parkin & David Thelander, in a brand new production featuring the Adelaide Art Orchestra.
