This smash hit show has played in more than forty cities around the world and has been seen by over twenty five million people on three continents.
In Australia alone, nearly 500,000 people have enjoyed the popular songs of the 60s and 70s and the non-stop singing dancing but, most of all, they enjoy the humour of what used to be a most unfunny topic.
Menopause The Musical was created by Florida woman, Jeanie Linders, after a bottle of wine and "a hot flush" when she muttered "Why didn't my mother tell me about this?"
Adelaide will feature Australia's leading actors - the same four that have broken a forty-five year old Box Office record in Brisbane to become the most attended theatre show in Brisbane's history (the previous record was held by My Fair Lady in 1961). Jodie Gillies, Donna Lee, Susan-ann Walker and Anne Wood while shopping in Myer, discover that they have one thing in common - Menopause. What follows is ninety minutes of extraordinary fun and an inspirational ending.
Menopause The Musical is directed by Gary Young whose credits include Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, Carousel and Guys and Dolls.
