This iconic show continues to be a highlight of Melbourne Comedy Festival every year. Best of the Edinburgh Festival is an unbeatable night of world-class comedy featuring the hottest new talents to have appeared at the Edinburgh Festival. You owe it to yourself to leap in and devour this indulgent serve of funny business. Best of the Edinburgh Fest is great value - four world-class acts for the price of one! You can't beat that!
EDDIE IFFT (USA)
Direct from New York, Eddie Ifft is almost a grown up Dennis The Menace. 2001, Eddie is one of the top new faces in the world of comedy. He has performed across the USA and Europe and at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal. Eddie has starred in a number of episodes of VH1's new show "Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and can be seen in Jerry Seinfeld's up-coming documentary film, "Comedian."
Ifft's humour is insightful, biting and most often, dirty and offensive. He's a guy on the way up so jump on for the ride.
ASHER TRELEAVEN (Aus)
Melbourne superstar Asher Treleaven is a showstopper everywhere he goes. Having played across the UK and Australia, Asher has impressed audiences and critics alike. Asher won The Age Critics Choice Award at Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2005 and has been described as 'gloriously odd… delightful!' The Age and 'Inventive, curious and original' Herald Sun.
"You'll find this is possibly the single funniest moment of the festival." chortle.co.uk
MAEVE HIGGINS (Ireland)
Maeve Higgins is Ireland's newest and loveliest comedy star. In the past three years she has been busy performing at arts festivals around the world, including Edinburgh, Adelaide and Kilkenny. Her debut show in Edinburgh in 2006 went down a treat with the critics. Her style is unique and sometimes blows minds, but never in a violent way. Maeve travels around doing comedy because she loves it. It is the thing she is best at apart from baking and thinking of sassy responses to annoying statements long after the person who's made the statement has left.
"a master of edgy comedy" The Sunday Times, U.K
"**** 'Quietly Wonderful!' Chortle
ANDREW STANLEY (Ireland)
Having performed worldwide at the Adelaide and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals and becoming a regular fixture on the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Calendar Andrew Stanley is fast becoming one of the top comics working the Irish Circuit today. Andrew is always high energy and quick witted enough to keep audiences thoroughly entertained.
"effervescent and upbeat...bursting with playful energy" - chortle.co.uk
