Marcel Proust’s dazzling novel, In Search of Lost Time, (previously translated as Remembrance of Things Past), comes to the Melbourne stage for the first time via the love affair of MARCEL and ALBERTINE,
a story which spans almost 3000 pages and is at the heart of this
satire of the goings-on in society in the early twentieth century.
Proust is brought to the stage by writer Colin Duckworth. His translations and adaptations of Camus’ The Outsider/The Misfit and Plague riveted audiences last year and received high critical acclaim. The director is Emma Valente, whose production of Camus’ The Fall was described as ‘brilliant”.
