Following on from the success of A.R.A.B's sell out 2007 show Ahlam, Tammarrud – Rebellion will explore and unpack the myriad of youth sub-cultures, identities, cliques and gangs, investigating what solid or shaky ground these identities are formed upon. When and how does a love affair with a subculture, image, identity begin and end? How does a subculture work to develop an individual’s identity? When does it liberate or devour the self and self-confidence and what relationship does a new identity have to home, school and family?
In this show A.R.A.B's dynamic, culturally and artistically eclectic 200 strong youth ensemble will collaborate with an expanding artistic team of directors, sound, lighting, multi-media designers, choreographers, musicians and dancers to serve up an electrifying mix of contemporary, explosive, visceral, hybrid performance guaranteed to get the audience cranking!
