Wilco's music is complex and dangerously catchy, lyrically
sophisticated and provocative, noisy and somehow serene.
Wilco live is a presentation of all these sounds with earnest yearning
and intricate musical weavings that feel timeless and effortless. Their
live sets clocking in at over 2 hours are a journey through their rich
and exotic catalogue of tunes. With five studio albums to their credit,
Wilco have a truly inspiring and diverse catalogue to draw from.
Last here in 2003 for the Big Day Out and a series of sideshows, the
current line-up differs a little from the one that took to those
stages.
With John Stirratt on bass, Nels Cline on guitar, Glen Kotche
on drums, Mikael Jorgensen and Pat Sansone on piano and percussion, and
band leader Jeff Tweedy on guitars, this latest Wilco ensemble has been
heralded by critics everywhere as "the worlds most exciting rock band".
And after a solid 18 months of touring, recording a new record and some
down time, the band are fully charged and ready to start it all over
again.
