Patrick is a TV producer desperate to resurrect his failing series. After an unsuccessful attempt at a one-night stand Patrick discovers his spunky, smart-mouthed and erstwhile ‘pick-up’, Naomi, is secretly a talented short story writer. Could she be the shot in the arm his long-running show needs? A fresh alliance looms. But when Naomi’s ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, he casts doubt on whose stories they actually are.
Steven Snell was an engineering dropout and factory worker when he first started writing. His produced plays include The Assurance (Blue Room Theatre) and Damon (ABC Radio Drama). His first full-length play Keeper won the George Fairfax Memorial Play Award 2005 and has been produced at the Castlemaine State Festival, The Blue Room Theatre and Belvoir Downstairs. In 2003 he was short-listed for Red Stitch Actors Theatre’s ‘Red Shorts’ and 2004 he completed an Australian Writers' Guild Playwright Mentorship with Justin Fleming. In 2006 he was an affiliate writer with Melbourne Theatre Company.
