When Adam, an unassuming museum attendant, discovers Evelyn, a feisty art student, about to deface a nude statue, his predictable life changes overnight. In order to please her, he begins to change his habits and appearance, much to the surprise of his best friends, Phil and Jenny. And when they meet Evelyn, the sparks begin to fly. Soon everyone is caught in a circle of passion, temptation and betrayal, culminating in a total suprise ending.
A modern day "Pygmalion" with a twist, Neil LaBute's play poses all sorts of confronting questions - How far would you go for love? What would you be willing to change? What price might you pay? A spiky black comedy about identity, image and obsession in the Independent Theatre tradition of "Six Degrees of Separation".
