With recent focus on the life of Dylan Thomas and his wife Caitlin (the Kurt and Courtney of their time), through the release of 'The Edge of Love', a feature film starring Sienna Miller and looking at the hedonistic life of Caitlin and Dylan Thomas, their lives and their tumultuous loves.
Artistic Director of RMIT Union Arts, Lynne Ellis is somewhat serendipitously working on an adaptation of Llareggub (Under Milkwood) by Dylan Thomas forming part of The Age Melbourne Fringe Festival 2008 program.
Returning to its original working title of Llareggub (bugger all backwards), the play is a surrealistic Dylan Thomas piece originally devised as a radio play, set in the imaginary town of Llareggub and focusing on the eccentric characters and their lives.
Llareggub features RMIT students working with professional and emerging actors, the original voice of Dylan Thomas and under the direction of Lynne Ellis, promises to be a wild and extreme adventure.
With twisted airwaves, surreal imagery and comic pathos, we invite you in a flood of technological glory to awaken. To that which is …LLAREGGLUB. Lynne Ellis 2008
