1950. Liverpool. It's time for John Lennon to grow up.
With a
family who do little more than drink tea, in an oppressively mundane
world, Lennon's imagination runs wild; over-powering his dismal
post-war surroundings and shaping them to his own fantastical version
of reality.
Created by Victor Spinetti and Adrienne Kennedy
using the poetry of John Lennon, In His Own Write is a moving tribute
to childhood, the imagination and to the mind of a brilliant and
enigmatic artist.
"In His Own Write" is the theatrical debut
of art collective TeamHyphenPants. Director, Fleur Kilpatrick has
imagined a vibrant and colourful world, playing on the fantasies and
poetry of one of the world's most creative minds. Part of Melbourne's
