Governor Arthur Phillip returns to England after five years setting up the colony in New South Wales. He is accompanied by Bennelong who resides with Sir Joseph Banks and his family in their London townhouse. Bennelong challenges Banks' grand plans for empire and enlightenment and at the birthday dinner for King George III insults the King so severely that an edict is delivered for the eradication of all aborigines in Australia.
The Virtuoso is about the decline and fall of England and the birth of Australian attitude and character.

Come and experience the first part of Jeremy Johnson's 2 part epic. The second part of which was read earlier in the year at PD
