LiveWorks

A series of intimate live events in and around the vast spaces of CarriageWorks.

Created by an extraordinary line-up of artists working at the intersections of visual arts, sound and performance cultures – these live works explore the permeable relationship between artist and audience and experiment with ideas of intimate spectacle. Some works are for an audience of one, others invite eight to the table. Some works combine performance with public intervention, while others test the limits of performance. Many ask the audience to play an active role – as witness, expert, participant. Expect to play… to be intrigued, enthralled, provoked.

Artists from London, Bristol, Oslo, Melbourne, Perth, Broome and Sydney will show their work, collaborate on making new work, perform works-in-progress and participate in workshops and talk events. Several of these events are free. Some are separately ticketed. And 12 events are only open to buyers of the LiveWorks Membership. Because many have a limited capacity, we only have a small number of memberships on sale. So get in fast to ensure you get to experience a range of intimacies over the final weekend.

LiveWorks Members will be able to see several works each day. The times of each Member event will be available on the website at www.performancespace.com.au/liveworks
