GREEN! GOLD! AND MUSICAL! is a brand new cabaret show featuring some great Aussie classics as well as a few home-grown musical numbers never performed in Western Australia. So throw on your thongs and slap on the sunscreen as you head down to the Subiaco Arts Centre from the 5th till the 9th of August for a flamin’ good time.
This all Australian cabaret is part of yellow glass theatre inc’s inaugural Young Artist Program where young performers under the age of 25 work on all aspects of creating an original cabaret performance from performing, directing, musical directing right through to stage management and publicity. yellow glass theatre inc Artistic Director Chris Kabay says “It promises to be an energetic and fun-filled show encompassing all things Aussie whilst highlighting these talented young performers.” A real smorgasbord of Australian musicals including songs from Ned Kelly, Anthems for Doomed youth, Prodigal, The Sentimental Bloke and Snugglepot and Cuddlepie ensures there’s something for everyone.
yellow glass theatre inc’s theatrical credits include musicals Into the Woods, Company, The World Goes ‘Round, Putting it Together, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent, HAIR, The Marriage of Figaro and cabaret performances Swallow!, Rainy Days & Mondays as well as original works including sold out seasons of Last Days of Weimar and the world premiere of Anthems for Doomed Youth (which received much critical acclaim).
