Little by little, what is said [and left unsaid] peels away to reveal a startling truth.
“The wheels in the gravel driveway. The door. Him coming home. I was waiting because I hadn’t seen him in a long time. I hadn’t been alone with him in so long…”
From the Writer of the acclaimed Beyond the Neck, Tasmanian Tom Holloway, comes an ‘epic-in-miniature’ inspired by Aeschylus’ Agamemnon.
After a decade under siege, a city has finally fallen. Ten years of fury have taken their toll. For an officer returning from this epic campaign, it is time to put the horrors of war behind him, and take back his place at the family table. For the officer’s wife, it is time to begin again.
The stellar cast, including Jack Finsterer( All Saints, Kokoda) Anna Lise Phillips ( Young Lions, The Secret Life of Us) and Brett Stiller ( All Saints, The Alice) is directed by Matthew Lutton ( Tartuffe, The Lady Aoi) who brings his unique theatrical imagination to bear on this breathtaking new work.
Don’t say the words. Don’t miss this show.
