The New Music Network proudly presents Kammer Ensemble as they celebrate the 100th birthday of Elliott Carter, one of America’s most distinguished and recognised living composer, on Friday 8th August, 8pm at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Elliott Carter is ‘One of America’s most distinguished creative artists in any field’, Aaron Copland, Boosey & Hawkes. His intricate, mercurial work often mirrors human interactions and relationships. Kammer Ensemble celebrate the composer’s birthday with a portrait of his chamber music. Including Elliot Carter’s monumental Triple Duo, Esprit Rude, Esprit Doux, Enchanted Preludes, Charles Ives’s Trio and Paul Stanhope’s Night Prelude. The concert begins with J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite in C major.
KAMMER Ensemble is: Lisa Osmialowski Flutes, John Lewis Clarinets, Scott Taggart Violin, James Cuddeford Violin, Daniel Yeadon Cello, Andrew Hines Cello, Stephanie McCallum Piano, Claire Edwardes Percussion, Paul Stanhope Conductor.
