A programme of popular songs from the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s
featuring the Auspops strings and rhythm section and leading vocalists
On Friday July 11 APO presents an 11 member section of the APO strings with a top class rhythm section in “As Time Goes By” – a collection of evergreens and hits of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with vocalists Daina Jowsey and Beven Addinsall along with a small vocal ensemble.

Well known Melbourne saxophonist Lachlan Davidson will provide some beautiful and effective solos and ensemble work on a variety of reed instruments and Michael Harding on piano, Kim May on bass, and Ron Sandilands on drums, make up a star studded rhythm section This evening promises much for those who love this period of music celebrating the work and inspiration of many wonderful song writers and artists. Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Richard Rodgers and Jerome Kern are some of the composers represented. This is a concert not to be missed and tickets will move very quickly indeed.
