Dora the Explorer Live! Print
Dora the Explorer Live! After thrilling more than 2.2 million people in 120 cities across the US, Europe and Asia, Dora and her friends are finally heading to Australia to perform for fans during September and October. Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure is a spectacular live stage musical based on the hit pre-school television series and global phenomenon, ‘Dora the Explorer’ as seen on Nick Jr.

Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure is a family theatre show that energises arenas with vibrant songs, dancing, colourful sets and costumes. Dora, her cousin Diego, Boots the monkey and all of their pals lead the audience on a sea-faring musical adventure to find her stolen treasure chest.

The audience join the adventure to help them navigate the seven seas, climb Music Mountain, cross Singing Bridge and rescue the treasure from the Pirate Piggies. As with the incredibly successful television series, the live stage show features Nick Jr.’s ‘Play Along and Learn” philosophy of actively engaging children’s minds while they are having fun. To help Dora locate the treasure, the audience will need to use their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills.

“We’ve tried very hard to make sure that kids coming to the live show feel as if they’ve entered Dora’s familiar, much-loved world” says Chris Gifford, the creator of both  Dora the Explorer the TV series and the live show. “We wanted to make sure that we delivered on our audience’s expectations, but we’ve also added a certain grandness to the live show. It feels bigger. There’s more music in the live show and many more opportunities for interaction, too.”
This live stage adventure is full of musical fun and features the songs from the TV series that young families know and love, as well as brand new songs especially written for the show. An international cast of ten multi-talented performers, including two Australians, will get the audience to sing and dance along throughout the show.

Fans of ‘Dora the Explorer’ are sure to enjoy this spectacular family theatre experience. Do not miss your chance to be part of this fun-filled swashbuckling adventure.
