On Wednesday 23 July at 12noon NINE students from the Talent Development Project (TDP) all of whom were first seen at the 2007 Stars of the Schools Spectacular will take to the stage at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre in a power packed Graduation Concert showcasing what they have learnt from their intensive 12-month training course conducted by TDP.

Joining the students on stage will be Special Guest Artists CHASING BAILEY along with 15 year-old performer ‘Angel’ Tupai plus TDP Graduates Roshani Priddis and Carly Champion – who have just returned from New York after winning the TDP Broadway Scholarship.
The MC for the Concert will be Alan Jones AO along with special guests TDP patrons Margaret Whitlam and Kevin Jacobson plus Director-General of Education and Training and Managing Director of TAFE NSW Michael Coutts-Trotter and Board member The Hon John Brown AO .
TDP is Australia’s most successful entertainment industry program that prepares young performers from NSW public schools for a career in the music industry. Launched in 1992 and run by founder and Artistic Director Mary Lopez, TDP utilises the expertise of top professionals from the entertainment and music industries who give their time and knowledge to coach and advise these talented young hopefuls.
Some former graduates who broke into show business courtesy of TDP and are now ‘household names’ include Human Nature, Hi Five star Nathan Foley, Paulini, Belinda Wollaston, The McClymont Sisters, Felicity Urquhart, Travis Collins, jazz singer Emma Pask and ‘Australian Idol’ TV music maestro John Foreman.
