Sportsman’s Night Print
Sportsman's NightSportsman’s Night is a Melbourne International Comedy Festival Barry Award nominated one-man character comedy, written and performed by Damian Callinan.

He brings to life the familiar characters of the believably fictional Dodgy Creek Roosters Football Club who have been banned for their on and off field indiscretions.

Focusing on the night of their Sportsman’s Night to raise money for the legal appeal, the story is told through the eyes of a young boy trapped in the town and culture as he makes a documentary about the club to which he has become reluctantly tethered.

“Damian Callinan stood up and proved why he is one of Australia’s most successful comedians… his hilarious show was believable and well played, suggesting Callinan is a great judge of character.” The Advertiser
