Back from national touring, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s award-winning production of The Arrival will be at the company’s Fremantle home theatre for a limited run from November 10 to 15.
Based on acclaimed illustrator and author Shaun Tan’s story, The Arrival, celebrates a vibrant world of harmony with animals and people living together happily in a fantastical metropolis.
Adapted by Michael Barlow and directed by Philip Mitchell, the production is designed by the company’s Chief Puppet Maker, Jiri Zmitko and will combine digital projection of Tan’s exquisite imagery with live performance and puppetry. The Arrival is performed by highly regarded performers and puppeteers, Karen Hethey, Sanjiva Margio and Giri Mazzella.
The Arrival is a magical experience for all with a stunning mix of digital projection of Shaun Tan’s exquisite images, live performance and the excellence in puppetry that we have come to expect from Spare Parts. Catch the adventure at Spare Parts Puppet Theatre in Fremantle, opposite the train station.
