A poetic journey through family, madness and corn
Magda's Fascination with Wax Cats is a wild ride through
feral country filtered through Magda's foggy glasses. It is poetic and
unpleasant, sensual and scary and puts a beautiful frame around a
brutal life. It is a play for escapists, curious cats and anyone who's
ever run way with their imagination until reality catches up.
Described by the Australian Theatre for Young People as a cross between Moliere and Fifty Cent - Magda's Fascination with Wax Cats is an incandescent commentary amid the cornfields that surround her anonymous flyspeck town in remote rural Australia.
