The passionate and seductive sounds of the bandoneon captivate us in a selection of tangos by Argentinean master Astor Piazzolla. Dynamic conductor Kristjian Jarvi conducts a program of exciting virtuosic showpieces for large orchestra, including the alluring Ginastera dance music and the rarely performed but evocative Night of the Mayas by Revueltas.
