Dean Arcuri, star of ‘Who needs a Vagina Anyway…’ (MICF ‘07) returns with another comedy cabaret … and this time it’s aerial; not vaginal! We’re all going down!
Touching down after its premier season during the Midsumma Festival 2008, prepare to strap yourself in and fly these unfriendly skies in ‘NOW BOARDING’, joining Dean as he plays Stewart the Steward for another crazy camped up comedy cabaret that will take you to new heights of laughter. He’s been kicked out of first class and shunned from the Mile High Club ... but that’s not going to stop him! This onboard entertainment is filled with musical medley madness and comedy mayhem as Stewart sings and dances up a storm; kicking it into high gear at The British Crown in Collingwood.
The musical mayhem will be accompanied by the multi-talented Anastasia “Starz” Russel-Head, who will also be stepping from behind her piano to sing along and show us what she can do. Dean and Starz performed together in 2007 as a part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in the controversial cabaret ‘Who needs a Vagina Anyway…’ and they can’t wait to show you what they’ve got up their sleeves next. Directed by Deborah Langley (‘A Tragic Diva’ MICF ’05); ‘NOW BOARDING’ is filled with classic and contemporary hits weaved together as we discover what got Stewart stuck in economy and why he can’t hold onto a man in a performance you won’t want to miss.
