Chris Wallace presents a 19th century Mark Twain for a 21st century audience in an hilarious one man show that will leave you laughing, crying, stunned, provoked and challenged.
The show consists mainly of works that were never meant to be published, never meant to be performed or both. In one piece, Mark Twain takes on the Bible. In another he takes a bawdy, ribald romp through Elizabethan England. Another shows the other side of war. This surprisingly edgy and contemporary Mark Twain is balanced with a charming, mini-musical of the classic "Huckleberry Finn".
Wallace, who was born in America and has been a resident of Australia since 1994 will be familiar to Australian audiences from his many acting appearances on shows like "Stingers", Blue Heelers", "Wildred" and others, plus countless television ads.
This is an edgy, irreverent, hilarious Mark Twain who speaks with a voice that has lost none of its power.
"He was as much a philosopher as he was a humourist" says Chris Wallace speaking of Mark Twain. "The way he focuses on religion or our sexual habits or the way we kill one another are words for every generation. The fact that he does it with such humour is an enormous bonus."
"Chris Wallace uses his impressive acting skills to bring the words of the master to life" - The Ballarat Courier
