Lisa McCune, Marina Prior, Ian Stenlake, Garry McDonald and Shane Jacobson with Magda Szubanski will star in the Australian production of GUYS AND DOLLS. The record breaking West End musical will have its premiere in Melbourne’s Princess Theatre in March 2008.
GUYS AND DOLLS ran for 789 performances at the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End, a record for the theatre. Co-produced by the Donmar Warehouse and originally directed by the Donmar’s Artistic Director, Michael Grandage, GUYS AND DOLLS was nominated in 2006 for eight Laurence Olivier Awards and won the Olivier award for Outstanding Musical Production.
Designed by Christopher Oram and choreographed by Rob Ashford, GUYS AND DOLLS will be directed in Australia by rising British directing talent, Jamie Lloyd.
