Road Train Print
road_trainkompany M, Midland and the Swan Valley’s first professional theatre ensemble presents the 10th Anniversary season of"Road Train"
Scripted and Directed by Hellie Turner
Yarns by John Taylor

Stacked and packed the mighty production of “ROAD TRAIN” is rumbling back to life and rolling back into town! Ten years on, the Mack is set for its next big haul … the road scarred prime mover with trailer in tow, roared into Middle Swan in 1998 and went on to tour several states in 2000.If you missed it the first time, be sure to catch it this time!Jump up back and head outback once more with Tonka, Maxie, Stringer, Ernie and Shelley as they go truckin’ … from station to dock, factory to mine site, city to isolated outpost … criss-crossing the country, intent on making a mile and taking you along for the ride. With original songs of the country and western variety, “The Truckettes” will keep you entertained throughout the show. Truckie-poet, John Taylor and playwright, Hellie Turner pay tribute to the trucking culture of Australia. Their stories of the road, enriched by humourous dialogue and yarns, promise a night of irreverent laughter and a rare insight into an industry that is the back-bone of the Australian economy. The production is performed on the back of a truck, in the rustic “shed” theatre at Taylor’s … our grass roots venue in the heart of the trucking community. Don’t miss out! Come truckin’ with kompany M, on this dynamic theatrical journey!!

“ROAD TRAIN” is pure entertainment…a celebration of truckie culture. Sarah Palmer, West Australian A remarkably brilliant piece of original theatre. Di Bliss, Sunday Times

“ROAD TRAIN” …was fantastic! We loved it …the truckie we were sitting behind must have damn near wet his pants he was laughing so much!
