In an abandoned mansion, 8 friends gather to celebrate the beginning of summer. Over a sweltering night of reckless abandon they ignore the past, assail the present and mourn the future.
With this renovation of Anton Chekhov's first and largely unknown play, The Hayloft Project #02 brings the master's work squarely to our era. Director Simon Stone follows up the success of 2007's acclaimed show Spring Awakening (to be seen at Sydney's Belvoir Downstairs in June) with this new adaptation of a rarely shown classic. He is joined by a cast of inimitable talents:
