Company 13 unleashes its new show on an unsuspecting Melbourne public.
Kate - or case number 4563/L - is dead and she knows it. Its the job of the bureaucrats and lab techs at the Dept of Existence and Death to get her to where she needs to be. But she’s not moving on like everyone else.
It’s becoming an embarrassment to the Department. All tests and procedures shed no light on the problem. Failure to dispatch a case properly will result in a diabolical outcome for the client and even worse for those working the case.
Something must be done . . . and time is running out.
Physical theatre company Company 13 has heaps of great people in it, who are good at telling their right hand from their left. All are John Bolton Theatre School graduates, except one (but she’s cool), and they have fi nally got their shit together to devise a 60 minute physical theatre show set in the world between this life and the next.
Company 13 has the sniff of something major about it, but that is just my opinion and I’m the director ... This new show is a haunting comical journey into an imagined afterlife run by a bunch of bureaucratic incompetents, that would not seem out of place in our state’s transport department... or in fact running the country.
So come and have a look at what might happen when you ‘cark it’.
