Murunduk | The Black Arm Band Print
This extraordinary event gathers together many of the most significant names in Indigenous music history for one night only. Performing songs from a remarkable songbook, murundak (‘alive' in Woiwurrung) is a living, breathing expression of Aboriginal history, resilience and identity.

Winner of the 2006 Best Australian Contemporary Music Concert, this once in a lifetime event stars 32 of the most respected names in Australian music including a 15-piece ensemble of Melbourne's top jazz instrumentalists.

Songs include ‘Took the children away' (Archie Roach), ‘We have survived' (Bart Willoughby), ‘Solid rock' (Shane Howard), and ‘Yil lull' (Joe Geia), performed by many of the original songwriters and artists.

Against a backdrop of lyrical and sometimes provocative film and photographic images, this WA premiere promises to be a euphoric landmark.
