Three Penny Opera…Mack is back

“oh, the shark has pretty teeth, dear”

Our society is fast turning into a money spending, sex stealing, drug taking, selfish cesspit! This musical is no exception!

In a morally bankrupt society where compassion is no longer existent and commercialism is the new religion. Sexual debauchery runs rampant in this political and social satire.

In a dark world of sex, murder and razzle dazzle we find our morally ambiguous hero Macheath. An underworld legend, notorious womaniser, thief and murderer, who has slithered from woman to woman; from man to man; from crime to crime without ever being caught. But when the father of his latest sexual conquest is the controller of the cities underworld, all hell breaks lose when Mac threatens his power structure and execution seems to be the only answer to restore the social hierarchy.

The Threepenny Opera is a dark and dazzling, social sledging romp full of smut, sleaze and social upheaval! This is the masterpiece that inspired some of the greatest musicals of our time (Cabaret, Chicago and Sweeny Todd just to name a few). Threepenny is a corrupt unforgiving comedy, full of betrayal and ferocious irony, it is brilliant! This new production is a raw and challenging interpretation. Featuring a stellar cast made entirely from Generation Y who seek and demand change in this world, Threepenny is a night in the theatre you will never forget!

Lock up your daughters…and your sons, Mack is back!

WARNING: contains strong adult themes and sexual references. It is not recommended for persons under 15.
